For those who've never studied at UCB or read the book, this is your start-to-finish workshop and introduction to game. For the technical player who loves analysis and theory, you will take lots of notes in addition to getting up onstage and practicing the concepts in exercises and scenes.

Leading Ladies
For all women, femme, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ players, build on your already-existing confidence! Learn concrete ways to champion your ideas, perspectives, and choices in scenes. Students will step into the spotlight and let their ideas fly free!

Silent Soundtrack
Learn the Silent Soundtrack form - all music, no talking! Improvise a full set to a surprise music playlist. Create elaborate worlds and new characters. Learn to execute precise (and silly!) spacework that will elevate your physical play not just in this format, but all your scenes going forward. With safety first, students will move according to their own ability and comfort.

For players who have already studied at UCB or read the book, this workshop teaches you to actually play game instead of getting stuck thinking about your next game move. Learn the simple yet effective skills that create fun and physical games in every scene, instead of just talking.

Master the most undervalued skill in improv: listening. Being a pro listener will calm your play and draw your fellow performers into your scenes. Expert listening is a rare superpower that will change the way you play, and maybe even the way you live your life...just a little.

How to Coach
Whether you're coaching independently or directing a house team, this workshop gives you concrete tools to get you started on your teaching career. Learn to write curriculum, develop exercises, and create learning models for students of all experience levels. Recommended for players with at least five years of experience.
